BEAR Breakfast 2018

Our SOLD OUT Bear Breakfast was a testament of the incredible resources that our one of a kind New Employment Opportunities (NEO) program offers Fresno County employers.  Existing and New Businesses had the chance to learn more about the NEO-ESE program through several panelists and open discussion. Breakfast served as a testament to the success and interest of our one of a kind hiring incentive program, the New Employment Opportunities (NEO) program, which is available to eligible Fresno County employers and job-seekers. Existing and New Businesses had the chance to learn about the NEO program through several panel discussions.

The NEO program is an incentive available to employers that reimburses the wages of employees hired through the program. The goal of the program is to provide Welfare-To-Work participants a pathway to obtain long-term employment opportunities while meeting employers workforce needs.

Cypress MandelaTraining Center

Our team had the pleasure of touring the Cyrpress Mandela Training Center. We were able to see how the program is changing lives! This is a nationally recognized program which has established itself as a pre-apprenticeship training center that serves as a model across the United States. The Center was originally designed to serve the population with the most barriers to work and for many served as a last resort.  Today, the Mandela Training Center offers a 16-week pre-apprenticeship program for men and women which includes both hands-on and in the classroom instruction that prepares students for skilled trades jobs that are relevant to the demands of today's construction industry.
